Questions About My Services
You may find the answer here if you have questions about my process, the costs involved, or whether I accept credit cards.
All of my meetings take place in my "virtual office", via web and phone conference. In this day and age, it just makes sense to save the time and avoid sitting in traffic or a noisy coffee shop. I'm a freelancer, not an agency so I don't have a team of developers back at the office while I go out and meet with a client. If I'm not at my desk, the work isn't getting done! Of course, if an in-person meeting is essential for your project, arrangements can be made - just ask.
A responsive website is one that adapts to the screen width of the device being used to view it. It isn't enough to just be "mobile-friendly", your website should display nicely on ALL screens and devices (TV's, desktops, laptops, tablets, phone, etc.) and ALL web browsers - that's one of my specialties! Check out my portfolio to view recent examples of responsive websites I have developed for other companies.
Unfortunately, there isn't a set price for developing a website, each one is completely custom-built for you and your business. The first step is to schedule a phone call to discuss your project in detail. I'll ask you for a few sample links to websites that you like, this will help me get a better understanding of your overall vision so I can create a custom design. Then I will draft a proposal for the project and send along for you to review. If you accept the terms and we proceed, you'll have the first round of website designs a week later - things move along pretty quickly from there!
In 2014, my wife and I moved to Howell, a small community located in Southeast Michigan. I started working out of my home office back in 2010 and love it! My dogs are right here, next to me all day and not having to commute is a dream come true! Since I'm out in the country now, all of my meetings take place in my "virtual office", via web and phone conference. We can share computer screens from the comfort of our desks instead of huddling around a laptop in a noisy coffee shop.
For the most part, yes...but I do have a small network of creative and reliable professionals that I can call on if needed. While I excel at certain aspects of web development, there are some services that I don't offer such as eCommerce, Copywriting, Advanced Programming, etc. For those tasks, I would select a partner with the most relative experience and they would either complete that portion of the task on my behalf or I would simply refer you to them. It really just depends on the project, so feel free to contact me using the form on this page or by call me at 1-517-234-5512.
The timeframe for your project will depend on several factors such as the page count, content, timely feedback, change requests, etc. On average, I try to shoot for 6-8 weeks but the biggest roadblock is lack of content. 9 times out of 10, the website is ready to be populated with content weeks (sometimes months) before it is submitted by the client. If you're already working on your content, then you're ahead of the game!
